First Team News
Dejan Lovren has hinted that the team we saw in the second half against Stoke will be the starting XI against West Brom tomorrow. He described the team as “a perfect mix” and said that West Brom are similar to Stoke in that they like to play long balls. I would be happy with that line-up!
We’ve all heard the rumours. £35m for Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. No way. Klopp even dismissed these rumours when they began, calling them “nonsense”. Today I’ve heard that an agreement has been reached with Liverpool.
Oxlade Chamberlain lads, feel bad saying it, been told today it's done. Got no fee info like.

I hope it’s not true. He’s not worth £35m. I know he’s young (23) and does have potential, don’t get me wrong, but the man has missed 77 games over four seasons due to injury. We don’t need another fragile player like Sturridge who breaks a bone when he sneezes. I’m not completely against it though, for £20m he could be a really good signing for Liverpool. He has grown frustrated with his lack of game time at Arsenal and just wants to play football. What are your thoughts on The Ox?
In other news, according to Il Mattino Liverpool will lose out to another target this summer as Lorenzo Insigne is close to signing a new five-year deal with Napoli. The Italian currently earns £30k per week and is looking for a pay rise to stay at the Serie A club.
Liverpool could easily pay him more but Il Mattino reported that Napoli have reached an agreement with Insigne which will increase his wages to almost £3.4million per season. The report claims Insigne will sign a new deal that will keep him at Napoli until 2022.
But the contract will not include a release clause. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis had reportedly wanted to introduce an £85m release clause but Il Mattino claim that won’t be in Insigne’s new deal.
