Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana have returned from the States to Merseyside after recovery
The England duo have been sidelined for some time, with Adam Lallana picking up his injury on international duty, and travelled together to the United States to meet with specialists and receive treatment.
Henderson has not featured since the Reds faced Tottenham on February 11. He since picked up a foot injury and was expected to return in time for the Merseyside derby but didn’t.
Last season, Henderson suffered from a heel injury and met with a specialist in New Jersey, but reports suggested that this visit was more for a ‘change of scenery’ for the two Liverpool stars.
Adam Lallana was seen holding his thigh at half-time and it was later announced that he has sustained a thigh strain and will be out for at least a month.
It is hoped that the two will return to the squad for the final few games, as the Reds look to hold on to a top-four spot and qualify for the Champions League next season.
